There's no tray available with the Tripp Trapp, because it's not needed. As soon as a child can sit unassisted (6-12 months) they can be seated in the Tripp Trapp and be pulled right up to the table creating closeness and
interaction between child and adults. By adjusting the seat height and depth, they can continue to use the Tripp Trapp throughout childhood at any dinner table height. By using the footrest as a seat, and removing the lowest steel bar, Tripp Trapp® can even be used as a chair for teens and adults!
For infants, the baby rail and 5-point harness (included) are necessary to secure baby. Toddlers are then secured with only the 5-point harness (compare to the Kinderzeat which has a 3-point harness and cannot accomidate the baby rail). Older children can use the seat without harness.
"Double-curved" seat back follows alignment of child's spine, placing child in the relaxed, upright position ideal for good circulation and healthy digestion. Tripp Trapp® is made of natural materials (cultivated beech) and there is a 7 year guarantee on all wooden components.
Cushion also available. See below.
Children love interacting with the family. In today's hectic lifestyle, it is more important than ever to encourage these special moment of togetherness. The dining table is more than a place for mealtimes. It's for playing, homework or simply just talking, enjoying quality time together. A child sitting at the same height as an adult at a table stimulates the development of confidence. We believe that life around the table is incredibly important.
When TRIPP TRAPP® was launched in the 1970's, it looked quite different from any other high chair. It was nothing less than revolutionary. The designer, Peter Opsvik, created the chair after seeing how uncomfortable his son, Tor, was after he outgrew the traditional high chair. Tor's feet dangled awkwardly and his arms were unable to reach the table: he simply couldn't get comfortable. The TRIPP TRAPP® provided the perfect solution.
